Good Lord those paras are good!

:clappy:

Anyway, here's my haul for the last night shift:

A Soviet 1V13 artillery observation vehicle (QRF) @ 12 points:

26x 1980s Canadians (Team Yankee figures and one unknown) @ 3 points a pop (78 points):

That brings my total thus far to 558 points.

By Jove! What a lovely day to get your Mamelukes out, slap some paint on them and show them off in public!

And while I was on a Mameluke mood I added a Mameluke servant to Prince Eugene's command group.

Sorry about the Mameluke waving his large hairy knob in the rear rank...

God they were a ball-ache to paint... So that's 9x 15mm Mamelukes at 6 points apiece for 54 points (I'd already painted Eugene and friends, so they don't count)... There must be easier ways to get 54 points... So my total is now 612 points.

As any fule kno, Humbrol 153 was originally formulated in the dyers' vats of the Cairo souk and was then perfected in the Imperial Guard tailoring department of the Paris Arsenal.

Was each Mameluke responsible for kitting himself out, or did the regimental agent just dump a load of off-cuts on the barrack room floor and say, "There you go, just be sure your cock isn't hanging out when you leave the base."?

Bit of both. The variety is due to the long sleeved undershirt. Tat seems to have been personal. The maraschino pants, scarlet sleeveless jackets and silly hats were all uniform.

Ooops, these are early, with green jackets.
