Are they still selling anti-tank rifles in Aisle 3?

Thing is, you think it’s all fun when you play with your Boyes, until it goes off in your face

But surely it doesn’t count because it’s moved on to the inevitable AT rifle pun that always follows after my Boyes joke?

You know if there was a nearby varnish thread You could assume we are just always stuck in a revolving pattern interspersed with nob and minge jokes

And not buying more Romans on eBay due to a schoolboy error............which I'm having surprising difficulty getting over.

Does anyone have stupidly cheap Lamming ancients that they want to shift? Virtually no price will be paid.......thereby consoling me.

A pox on my stupid eBay adventure.
Iain what happened?
There were five Lamming lots coming up to the deadline and all stupidly cheap. I was going to bid on all of them but, never having bid on eBay before, I thought I'd wait until the last possible minute to see how things went. Much to my surprise, the first lot was dirt cheap with thirty seconds to go then 'WHAM' up went the price to silly money. The same thing happened with the second lot.............and the third.

At this point I concluded that someone was desperate to have all five lots. So I gave up and walked away. Dick head.

The fourth lot did indeed go for silly money, but the fifth lot, the one I really wanted (16 Roman cavalry), went for just £9.30. I was going to go up to £12. Why didn't I just pop a crafty bid in 'just in case'? Plonker.

Absolutely gutted.

I really really really hate eBay snipers.
Wargames dreams never die, they just get left in a box.
