The Loose Association of Wargamers

I was looking at my lead/plastic/resin pile, and realised that I can add another army to the board, at a slightly further stage- a Siculo-Norman army, inspired by John Julius Norwich's "The Normans in Sicily". They are built using Shieldwall, adjusted using the Byzantium: Beyond the Golden Gate supplement; I have also prepared a list using the Christians from the El Cid supplement that covers the same figures. The figures have been cleaned, and many of them mounted on bases already (no snide or suggestive comments needed here), and will be done before I move on to the Byzantines, as I still need to buy too many Byzantine cavalry to make a proper start. Just a little dusting and unpacking from the storage needed!

As an aside- how many points are we striving towards?

That’s a great period, I did it as a DBA campaign many decades ago, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ummm....wellllll technically I’ve abandoned my Hittites in favour of 13thC Italians which are progressing nicely through the painting stage. I’ve also gotten my Ancient Germans to Smugly Wank (or was it Wankly Smug?) and anticipate being deep in 1st Baron’s/Angevin War territory in the next 6 months when the Italians pop off for coffee (or when the Paul Hicks figures are released, whichever is sooner ). Then there’s the Romans............

I've been trying to get hold of a proper copy of 6th Edition as mine has gone 'walk-about'. Does anyone know of any new old stock there or have a copy they'd let go? I'm aware of the reprint in the reprint of the Don Featherstone book but I've found those poor quality and disappointing in the past and no one wants to tackle Phil Barkers 6th Edition tables on a Kindle FFS!
