True, but I still find the Vallejo model air more trouble than thinned Tamiya. It seems to clog more, I think because of the medium.

The basic painting and multi tone camo will work even with a cheap set. It's whether you think you will want to do more, like buildings, weathering, spraying varnish etc.

Agreed . I’ve only noticed the issue on very fine detail/low pressure where Tamiya is definitely superior . For most normal usage vallejo seems to work ok for me. I always add some thinners even to Vallejo Air, never straight out the bottle.

Is the brick detailing on the church "raised" (ie could you accentuate it with dry-brushing) or is it just drawn on?

Laser cut. It’s going to get Polyfilla’d and a stone roller from Greenstuff World used on it
