Morning Jezza,

I'm with you Saturday night in York for food. Any time is good for me.

I've not thought yet about the tourist thing on Saturday. I'm in York on Friday so it sort of depends what I get up to then. Probably the best thing to do is exchange telephone numbers and sort out a plan when you arrive in York. What's your ETA?

Iain

EB, I’ve PM’d you for your number.

We’ll probably get there around 11ish?

We’re looking at doing York Army Museum and the museum of the Royal Dragoon Guards, as well as the Walls. Might need to pop into the Shambles briefly for some fudge for the Missus and Sprogette to take back

Not sure where EB and CB are staying, but it looks like the most central pub between Peeler and I and Norm is the Black Swan. Within walking distance for all of us and it gets good reviews on Tripadvisor

We are staying on Gillygate. Still in negotiations re bringing the dog so that affects where and what we can do a little.. As well as somewhere having vegan options...

Due to arrive mid to late PM...

Andy, the Swan around half a mile from you, and a quick squizz at the menu shows some vegetarian options. Not sure if they’re vegan?

Not entirely sure about dogs either

I wasn't aware that dogs could be vegan.

I feel if we get this right it will be a feat of heroic proportions (like Peelers meal!)

I mean getting EB to the right place, whilst simultaneously getting Peeler there at the right time....

There are also a couple of suitable shopping opportunities around York, a decent games shop and a model shop at Monks Bar gate. If your'e being all touristy and that. And not forgetting that brilliant emporium, "Boyes", where you can buy Vallejo paints, and Perry Miniatures.
