What? You want me to stay up all night printing off rules and laminating QRS sheets? Have you any idea how long that will take?

I think one set of rules and two QRS will be enough. People should share.

The hall will be open at 15:00 tomorrow then?

Yes, just print off some QRS before you left this morning. 🙂

I'll be at the Hall 3ish. Awaiting my QRS sheet 😄

Morning Chaps.

I have a question for the Ayton players..........

Passing through a friendly unit, whether or not either unit is formed or broken, is free of risk or adverse effect so long as the units are more than 3" apart before the move starts. Within 3" and the passed through unit can't shoot or move when it next activates.

Did anyone actually have a unit affected by a pass through? I remember Simon suggesting that, given the average base depth, the 3" proximity was very unlikely to apply.

Currently, the distance between the two units is taken from: a) the centre front rank of the moving unit, to b) the nearest figure of the passed through unit.

Ta muchly.

I tend to agree. The 3" may not be enough. Is there also anything re proximity to enemy? Or if someone attempts to pass through and didn't make it then the penalty still applies?

I think the idea of simple rules for brigades and units passing through is good. Just think it may be too easy at the mo...

Actually despite the comment I made I think I liked it. Easier passing through makes the game dynamic focus around having reserves to cycle through. Making it too difficult makes it about pinning enemy units who can't do much about it. I enjoy the first more - its a more positive game experience and a pleasant change to very restrictive sets. In a big game its a relief not to have to worry about excessive manoeuvre constraints
