Indeed. Invisible numbers.
So that they can be whatever you want them to be. "Oh look, 3 sixes, lucky me!
The latest must-have thing; quantum dice! They can be whatever number want them to be...until you look at them.

I nearly placed an order with Splintered Light in the US, but $22 shipping (and the chance of a customs bill on top) put me off. The exchange rate is shocking too. Every time that git at the BoE opens his gob about the economy it takes another dive.

I have nearly ordered from Khurasan a few times. The exchange rate I can cope with, it's an up front charge and one over which the seller has no control. Shipping can look excessive though and the customs lottery is never exiting in a good way. The Royal Mail 'Handling Charge' is the real bugger though.......'We're going to take some money off of you for doing the job we've already been paid for and pretend it's because we're doing something else we've not been asked to do'......Gits!

When I lived in South Africa, shipping and customs could easily come to 100% of the initial order value. And it could take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive. Sometimes it never did.
This was a fact of life with every order. You get used to it.

Some books for Xmas (my wife allows me to pick my own - from everyone).
- John Childs, "The Army of Charles II"
- John Childs, "The Army of James II"
- "Tangier 1660-1680: The first battle honour"
- Drenth/Riley, "Colonial Soldiers: British Garrisons 1660-1714 Vol. 1"
And Charles Cruickshank's "Elizabeth's Army" to read now for being a good boy recently.

Chile was a bit like that. It was an expat thing that if you were returning from an English speaking country you would smuggle all sorts of stuff in with your suitcase. All my Chilean independence soldiers, the English books and all my paint etc came into the country on someone's luggage trolley.
