RMD's game gets some (well deserved) love on the WS&S Facebook page.
Ooo! What's WS&S?
Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy. Best of the the wargames mags these days.

Good to see you again, as always (don't believe what the others say that I say about you when you're not there)!
We won best of show!
Did Eclaireur find you? He turned up two minutes after you left and the last time I saw him he still hadn't found you (and nobody had your current mobile number)...
Good to see you again, too, Mark - been a while now, hasn't it? I never believe anything anyone on here tells me (and at my age I struggle to remember it anyway....).
Well done on best of show, great game well presented. And I'm sure there's no truth in the rumours that the ex-SF guys on your team threatened the judges.....
Yes, he did - he was chatting to the Empress people and I spotted him (he's much slower at trying to escape these days!). He actually had my mobile number, but his BBC technology failed him. We had a very interesting chat with Paul(?) of EM that began with how EC taunts Dr Brown about waking up in the night from a bad dream in which Richard Clarke's comments about "big battles" being phased out by skirmish-level games have come true and nobody is playing GdB or GdA any more!!! Some very interesting comments about the "perfect" scales for certain periods (eg 28mm for ECW and AWI, because even the "big" battles were actually rather small, but only for WW2 at platoon level - if that). Also, the differences between Sharp Practice 1 and 2.

Well trained killers are only a phone-call away... They're lovely chaps really, but their loyalty is to my wife not me... :o
Anyway, what are these 'skirmish' games of which you speak...? I'm not familiar with the concept.
Ec didn't play the game in the end. I thought that as a leading member of the MSM he'd naturally want to play SWAPO or Cuba, but no dice...

New venue for warfare next year?
Anyone hear anything about this?
