Re: VBCW Ayton 3rd May 2019 Organisation Thread
We really should have had the Hairy Dave figure in that Ayton Village Hall shot.
By coincidence, someone at the club brought in a figure that looked more like Pete the Dead than Pete did himself.
At one stage we had so many people called Pete that they had to be given additional identification. Among others we had Pete the Dead (a clinical mortician), Pete the Policeman (self explanatory), Mexican Pete (large moustache) etc. Just to screw things up, Pete the Dead retired so he's now Pete the Undead, Pete the Policeman retired but works part time for an undertaker so he's become Pete the Dead. We haven't seen Mexican Pete in years, he decided coaching ladies rugby was more interesting.

I'm shocked that a village hall still flies the Union Flag. Don't they realise its the 21st Century ?

I'm reliably informed that Peeler and his Missus run the place (and no, I suspect that he, at least, doesn't).

Did anyone accidentally pick up my tape measure whilst we were cleaning up last week?
