Some more for the Reichsarmee: The 2nd Battalion of the Pfalz Garde zu Fuss Regiment. It's a slight cheat in that they only wore the fur caps en masse between 1755 and 1757, after which they were only worn by the 'flank' grenadier companies. The battalion therefore went to war wearing hats. However, I've got a massive stack of spare Austrian grenadiers...

Very nice unit, got to use up bearskins if you've got them!
Sorry Grizz, but these ones are already dead.

So a combined Kurbayern, Baden-Baden, Wurzburg and Farntheil grenadier BN could be on the cards, mate? The nice thing about the Reichsarmee is that there's always a new grenadier company in bearskins to find. Or you could sacrifice a few heads for a combined carabinier regiment?

Hi Baron, using the Artizan Americans in Greatcoats to do a platoon, hoping to play the Bloody Bucket campaign sometime. They're nearly done. I'm on to the last steps which are very messy with pva and bicarbonate of soda.

Yeah, I've got every single Reichsarmee grenadier company waiting to be painted (Kurbayern, Hesse-Darmstadt and Salzburg Grenadiers already painted in the 90s)... And I've still got a stack of them spare, thanks to those old Old Glory bags of 100 figures. I'll probably keep the remaining ones for future Saxon and Pfalz armies.

Oh and re Carabiniers - I inherited my late mate Doug's Austrian army and he seems to have represented Carabiniers and Horse Grenadiers at 1:1 ratio. Literally four times as many as I'll ever use on table... :hair:

I've also got a load of spare Old Glory Horse Grenadiers left over from when I did all the Saxon Chevauxlegers and Reichsarmee cavalry. IIRC, about six in every 30-figure bag was a Horse Grenadier. I've put those aside to do the Kleist' Green' Dragoons, the Wurttemberg Horse Grenadier Regt and the Grenadier Company of the Pfalz 'Kurfurstin' Leib-Dragoons at some point in the future.

If I hadn't been aware of the nature of the Reichsarmee, from my studies on Brunswick and Bavaria, I would swear you had just listed a load of invented imagi-nations units.
