Cheers gentlemen, haven't been able to cobble together as much painting time as I'd like, but have been keep the fires burning since my return from travels to the LBH area.

Finished the remaining 6mm Velites for my big Republican Roman army. (PSA: Never engage in unprotected velitio...) And about half of legion's worth of the rest of the troops. One day that line with be green, red. blue and yellow arcs the length of the frontage.

I'm sprouting my first Punes, too!

And lastly, on impulse, I could help but buy some of the Volsci from Aventine. Here's my first of these really excellent figures.

It's obviously pointy stick time at your place (and in two sizes, no less). Excellent work.

Really nice stuff. I do like 6mm but that Volsci figure is very sweet.

So nice. The big fellow's shield is lovely, and I particularly like the random positioning of the skirmishing little chaps on their base.

The big chap is simply wonderful.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Cheers - thanks all. Still busy enough with work that 6mm is the way to keep me painting, as my sessions are shorter duration than I'd like when I work on 28s. So phalanx objects are the focus at the moment -

All very nice, but I'm seriously smitten by the Hoplites.

And what's the story with the pikes? Those things aren't moulded on the figure are they?

Given your screen name, I would have thought phalanx symbols would be your stock-in-trade!

Bloody good work, regrdless.
