The episode starts with a crew of a freighter in the remote Atlantic hauling two survivors from a wrecked glass vessel into the ship. The vessel is jettisoned over the side as the limp bodies are taken down below. Randall's moustache drips magnificently as he is carried in a stretcher.
Above the Atlantic, Karina and Hilaire are enjoying each other's company. Hilaire bleeds into Karina's oxygen supply. Karina strangely looks at Hilaire and mentions how the work of the Priestess seems to be progressing well. Hilaire removes some teeth for the fun of it.
Back in New York they sink the sphere underwater and return to their accommodation. Hilaire finds he is now flat sharing with the eery porcelain doll from Bingham. He locks it in a drawer.
Karina returns to discover the mobster Casale is in her flat cooking dinner. Using the meat her 'friends' have delivered. He is interested in the progress the heroes are making in discovering the drug operations at Caduceus. Karina also has a parcel, this contains analysis of The R'yleh Text and indicates Caduceus are trying to open a bridge to Mu where there is allegedly a doomsday device. She investigates the strange cylinder and seemingly blacks out for a couple of hours. When coming round she finds she can use the cylinder to talk to a frightened Icelandic fisherman - Ulrika's husband.
Christine gets ready for her hot date with Conners and is visited by a lovely librarian called Alice who is very keen to find out where Dr Singh is , apparently he abandoned her in Bingham. Christine recalls a newspaper article which mentions how the whole population of Bingham have disappeared, and Caduceus seem to be involved. Later Christine goes on a typical date for her which comprises drugging the guy and rifling through his wallet.
Dr Singh returns with Ulrika having failed to seduce her. He finds Marmaduke murdered in the lab and the message "what have you done with Mother you bastard" scrawled on the mirror. Perhaps his past is catching up with him. Remembering all the messages he has had about who the good guys really are, he immediately phones Caduceus HQ and tells them everything. Ulrika, so far the only sensible member of the team, legs it.
Derrick and Randall have a lovely sea journey on what turns out to be a Caduceus freighter that regularly brings medical supplies from Africa to New York. They get on splendidly with the crew and tell them they are Caduceus agents so everyone is happy.
Back at New York everyone plans how to break into the mysterious warehouse at Red Hook. Its going to be a subtle blend of charm, bluff, burglary, aggression and total fuck-up. And there we leave it till next time…
Plot Observations (a new feature for those who are paying close attention. i.e. nobody)
The warehouse - obviously somethings going on with those shipments from Africa to an empty warehouse
The R'yleh text. So Mu's in another dimension. And its got doomsday technology. And Caduceus are trying to build a bridge to it from 3 locations to achieve their objective.
Bingham: Caduceus said they'd sort it all out afterwards. Sounds like that happened. In a fashion.

Mu... ancient and entirely unjustified.
Whether the earth gets bevelled out by the Inner Night's lava bukkake or Caduceus' Mu-bomb seems entirely academic.

I sense in GM's tone that he doesn't think we're fully understanding all the plot developments, hints and clues.
Whereas actually, we all rightly suspect the butler did it.

Yeah, what we're doing?
It's not cause we're missing plot points.
It's cause that's how we roll.
That's our style.

Pah! Cthulu, roll him in breadcrumbs, lightly fry in olive oil, serve with pepper and lemons!

Yeah, but Dr Singh would still want to shag it.

So this was ages ago but the flawless break-in operation finally gets going tonight. This is a reminder of where we were
