Of course, just after they sold Wargames Illustrated announced that the next edition will include a Daleks based scenario for Stargrave.

Re: What are people buying?
Managed to grab a nice quality hardcover first edition of The War Game for £14 which was a bargain, id happily have paid 2 or 3 times that price

Bundled in was a copy of Terry Wise's introduction to battlegaming which I've already got. This copy has no dustcover and has some marks but it's perfectly readable. I'll happily pop it in the post to any of the lovely folks on this forum if you'd like it - preferably UK based to keep the postage manageable ! First come first served !

Re: What are people buying?
A quick check in the "Terry Wise" section of my wargames library tells me that I do NOT already have that tome.
So "Me! Me! Me! Pick me! PLEEEAAASSSE!!!" (Is it the one with the highlander and French cuirassier on the front?)

I still use the War Game with my SYW types.
My copy is 50 years old this Christmas.

A mighty tome, rules and a primer on how to write bottom up rules.
