The T Rex strode out into the clearing and lunged forward. Randall blasted a shot direct at its serpent man handler who managed to duck down behind the neck of the T Rex. More shooting ensued as our heroes used up their dwindling supply of bullets. Except Dr Singh who ran screaming into the jungle. Derek felt the teeth of the dinosaur snap just behind his neck as he dived into a ditch.

Meanwhile Karina managed to jump onto the back of the T Rex and kill the badly wounded handler. Donning his helmet she found she could control the monster ! And just in time because another roar was heard and a second drooling beast stepped forward with Christina in its clutches like a podgy Fay Wray.

The dinosaurs began to fight each other as the remaining handler fired his laser staff hitting Randall square in the face with superheated pain forcing him to retaliate with a final bullet straight to it's snakey breakey heart. Just at that moment Dr Singh came back to his senses and stepped forward with a usefully shaped stick, hooking the control helmet off the dead handler and taking control of the second beast.

At this point Hilaire summoned a formless spawn of Tsathoggua and (disappointly) managed to control it, using it to clear forward and scare off another guard patrol before it returned to its true master. Perhaps to tell of its experiences ?

Finding their way to the mine the heroes saw a deep quarry with a glistening pyramid at the bottom surround by shambling humans. They had some fun operating the mineshaft lift with Hilaire's hand and using up his remaining reserves of magic. Finally they descended to the base of the quarry and walked carefully between the unresponsive shambling humans. Some they recognised from previous adventures, but these people now had vacant unresponsive eyes.

As the team reached the entrance to the pyramid , Dr Singh saw an elderly lady with knitting needles, dressed like a mid-western American with an uncanny likeness to his true love Alice. His train of thought was interupted however by a klaxon-like voice emanating from the pyramid "Eliminate the intruders!!". Each of the stumbling, shambling humans snapped its head round and the horde began to move towards our heroes.

Until next time…….

1. Slice Randall’s achilles with this handy scalpel.
2. Scream loudly in Nacaal ‘Over here!’
3. Run into the pyramid
4. Upon exiting, stay close to Dr Singh
5. Slice Dr Singh’s achilles with this handy scalpel.
7. Scream loudly in Nacaal ‘Over here!’
8. Run to the lifts

That’s the sequential order of actions.

To repurpose Mike Tyson's immortal quote: "Everybody got a plan before they get punched in the mouth",
I'd say everybody got a 'sequential order of actions' before they get piled-on by zombies.

Randall’s safe from the Zombies. They eat brains.

:clappy:

Surely Hilaire can just eat them all with his fangy snakeman jaws.
Failing that, Dr Singh could probably shag half of them to (un)death while we leg it.
Failing that, I'm with Karina (well, keeping a step behind the psychotic scalpel-wielder)!

Faced with the approaching zombie horde, Hilaire pressed his hand to the panel lock and - again surprisingly - he seemed able to operate the door mechanism. The heroes began to run through the corridor to find themselves facing a squad of elite serpent warrior monks - banzai !!

Dr Singh tried to negotiate with the zombies while Karina simply despatched one with her shovel . Inside a furious fight emerged with Hilaire, Randall and Karina all taking wounds before they subdued the serpent warriors, Hilaire once again using his fearsome serpent bite to eliminate the final one. Christina discovered a flamethrower device at the doorway and incinerated enough zombies to buy enough time to close the door. This wasn't enough for Dr Singh who began playing with control buttons and experimenting with a button that opened the door again and the zombies began to shamble through.

Everyone fled upstairs hoping the zombies wouldn’t get over the pile of dead serpent people. A series of rooms and horrors were discovered. A factory growing new Rose Meadham's. A medical experimentation room where Dr Singh rescued his true love Alice - telling her that the serpent people had killed her mother so there was no point rescuing her. Amazingly she bought this. Further rooms were explored, a tsetse fly breeding room. A dinosaur cloning chamber, a giant capybara called peanut and then a command centre.

In this last room the horror of the Caduceus plot became clear. A viral plague that turned humans into zombie slaves had been developed. Caduceus planned to spread it worldwide using biomechanical flies carried in transport spheres. To do this they need technology from Mu, the lost continent. Seemingly the Caduceus heirarchy were now in Calcutta in order to gain access to Mu in some way. The heroes recovered two doses of viral cure one of which was taken by Randall who had become infected back in the village.

Making their way down to the base of the pyramid, Dr Singh was horrified to see Mother shambling towards him and Alice. He had to push Alice down the stairs to stop her from realising his moment of inconvenient truth.

In the basement a portal was found that led straight back the Caduceus building in New York and also a nuclear generator that appeared to be overloading. After a futile attempt to prevent the reactor sequence everyone jumped through the portal and found themselves once again in New York. They pushed the blast doors shut and fled the building, which was now eerily empty, into the cool New York morning.

They were safe for now. But had uncovered a plot that threatened the very existence of humanity. Are our heroes up to the task ? We shall have to wait to find out….

So as soon as Derrick got back to New York he collated the major plot points. Nothing new here but possibly he's managed to summarise the main themes so far
