At one point I was going to do a Tangiers themed force before Andygeddon

17th Century Colonial does look very interesting and the best bit is that most "native" forces are pretty much unchanged from Medieval through to Late C19th, if you avoid regular armies and juggle those firearms.goat major wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 7:43 pm At one point I was going to do a Tangiers themed force before Andygeddon

A Tangiers British force can include some Spanish cavalry.

That's surprising...

Obviously there was some Portuguese Horse at the start but I'm surprised that they used Spanish cavalry given the state of animosity between the two countries during the occupation?BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 9:40 pm A Tangiers British force can include some Spanish cavalry.
I'd be interested in knowing more.

Is this a push to change the weekend to 17th Century colonial? I confess to having a fondness for Kirke's Lambs for many years, and an excuse to buy some more of the lovely Dixon figures is tempting. And it's not like native forces would be an issue....................................just saying.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

Haha...not at all...I am easy either way and have plenty of natives that would work for C17th, as well as Colonials for C19th.Tim Hall wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:29 pm Is this a push to change the weekend to 17th Century colonial? (A while back I looked at adding some English in 10mm to my North African/Egyptian Myth collection so I could double the scenery and natives up for Tangiers).
