Baron, you have met me in person, how can you say that with a straight face?

I take it you mean 28mm?
No, no no that would be far too simple ... the official size from memory is closer to 20mm (cheer goes up from EB), using 'Matchbox' & 'Hotwheels' type cars with some conversion
The situation isn't helped by the fact that Gaslands Refuelled seems to have adopted the matchbox cars as the "official" scale. I wouldn't mind but for the fact that, despite its popularity at the club I have been unable to unload a couple of 1st edition vehicles in the bring and buy.

I have a buggy and a trike. As this is next year, if we use 28mm, count me in!

In fairness, I've never actually seen you typing and didn't want to pre-judge.

(I do appreciate that other strangenesses are available.)

If we're doing a variety of games over the weekend, I'd add my vote to a 28mm c17th game at some point.

Also, one we've talked about previously, and again recently actually, is 1/1200 age of sail. A few of us have ships ready and/or planned. Definitely something I'd be up for if there's interest.

This one rather depends on the rules as to whether it's fun or some sort of torture meted out in one of the circles of hell.

I have played Rod Langton's rules way back when they first came out and although they are an excellent simulation they are best played by people with the patience of the proverbial and experience of real sailing! I think he released a fast play set, i've never played them but did hear that calling "Fast Play" was a bit relative. Blood Bilge and Iron Balls was a set I heard good things about but are incomplete in not having rules for some of the major ship types used in the Baltic and Caribbean, IIRC. I have a copy of Kiss Me Hardy but have never played them. They look the best bet for a fun game unless anyone has some home brewed or personal favourites that fit the bill?

I played "Blood, Bilge and Iron Balls" as part of a club project to try out several sets of naval rules, using the same scenario. It was a few years ago now, but as I recall it was one of the best sets we tried.

That was one of the other sets we tried, which was also well thought of by all of the participants.
