I was adapting for Coronavirus, but yes, you're right.

To be honest I was thinking about a conversation I had with a friend last week who said there are almost no decent WW2 desert war films in colour.

I know LoA was not WW2, the question just stuck with me.

There was a remake of the Bogart classic "Sahara" (1995, with James Belushi).

The Desert Fox, also 5 Graves to Cairo and Ice Cold in Alex are desert films.
