If only I was allowed the luxury of a whole weekend's painting... what with dealing with builders, dogs, partner, etc...

What takes the time, of course, is maintaining such a high standard across the whole batch, Doug.

Luckily, I've never suffered from the problem of having high standards......

I do struggle with that.. First few sample figures, they look great! Enthusiasm high, by the last they look like they were painted by an epileptic in a straitjacket using sample pots applied with a hamster tail between his teeth.

And always conscious of the long resin, lead and plastic queue with their blank accusatory eyes... urging him to finish so they can be next.
