The Loose Association of Wargamers

Assembled the perspex nail varnish rack in about 30 mins, lots of screws and nuts. It's very good actually and now I'm going to have to buy more vallejo paint. It has seven rows that can fit about 11 bottles each.

Bit of a mojo lack the last week or so. And not helped by not going to Ayton. Lots going on with house and work and kids. I did prime a load of figures a while back but have only just dauded some paint...

Last year I bought some Prussians and British from RSM. The Prussians were the usual excellent figures. I'd had some of the RSM Hanoverians a few years ago and they were very poor, slim figures. I passed them on.

I found a pic of some RSM British which looked fine.
So I sent the pic to RSM (Dayton Painting) and asked if they matched the stock he had. And was told yes. So ordered 2 units and suitable command from Minden. They arrived. And were just a tad slimmer than the Prussians... Not impressed...
I fed back my disappointment and Richard at Dayton generously refunded my entire order...

They've sat in a box since as I had no intention of using them. Until now....

Having finished my last RSM Altefritzenburg regiment I thought I was done with RSM. But I still want some British on the table so I thought I'd try a test figure... And I suspect a unit of these with Minden command will look OK.
So once I've done them I suspect I'll need to contact Rich at Dayton and pay again...

My glacial output continues- it took me over a week to get this lot done. Skirmishing archers for Roos' contingent (and the last unit for them), for NMTBH. That just leaves Audley's to go.

No, mate. These blokes like to use broken bottles and pint glasses, being good South Yoorky lads. Now if they'd use them on the enemy, not just in camp, they'd be formidable. (An unfortunate coincidence of names, that, which I hadn't considered. Trust bloody Poms to pick up on it. ********!)

The "good" may be stretching it a bit, down here. Between the preservatives, and the apparent use of equine and feline renal systems in the manufacturing process, shall we just say "drinkable beer" rather than "good beer"?

Your link to the 'roo vid made a connection I hadn't. In a further coincidence Roos' livery is also in Australia's national colours- or and azure (gold and blue for the unheraldic). So does the name and livery make Roos the prototypical Ostrayan?

Right, that's it! I'm calling the Reichsarmee DONE! 41 battalions, 7 cavalry regiments and 10 guns later, here are the last units.

These are the Franconian 'Cronegk' Regiment, the combined Franconian grenadier companies, Franconian artillery and two very small cavalry regiments brigaded together into a 'viable' unit; the Swabian 'Wurttemberg' Dragoons (in blue coats) and the Upper Saxon 'Sachsen-Gotha' Dragoons (in white coats). I'll do some more detailed profiles on the blog later.
