To be honest, it's not that "inner".goat major wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 10:27 am ticket to the Grogmeet RPG convention in November thus achieving my objective of doing something RPG related this year and satisfying my inner geekness.

Grogmeet. Sounds like a hairy bunch of RPG people Simon, be careful.
Edit: just checked their website. Definitely hairy. Might be worth getting some sort of deodorant use guarantee before attending. Or take a canary (of at least 5th level).

Like food with smiley faces on it, RPGs (Thats the games not the tank busters) are something we are expected to leave behind when we reach our twenties. But like Ice cream and jelly we don't lose our urge to do it, just hide it deep within! I am therefore quite envious of anyone who has the time and nerve to do anything roleplaying based after the age of forty, even if doing it with strangers is the wargaming equivalent of dogging!!goat major wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 10:27 am ticket to the Grogmeet RPG convention in November thus achieving my objective of doing something RPG related this year and satisfying my inner geekness.

Especially combined with a bit of hoovering.
Ooooh, good save!

We could do an online Loose Ass RPG....
You awake in a darkness, all you can feel is the cold concrete below your body and all you can see in the immediate gloom around you is hundreds of discarded crude effigies made from the remnants of the packaging from tunnocks tea cakes...
From somewhere in the darkness you hear the muffled screams of a frightened hoover...

So a usual Friday night in Norms bedroom?
Re: What are people buying?
I actually would love to go. I’m unashamedly a massive fan of rpg’ing, and if I could find a decent group willing to play Runequest, jump straight back into it. I role-played until my mid 20’s and even had a girl friend!
