Ordered some SSM 18thC & FPW, don't want to be short after it all goes to 'merica.
Apart from the ACW 30mm.
Or the STS 42mm.
Depending on who you're listening too. šŸ˜„

I think that is down to individual budgets, I can see no excuse but poverty for 28mm plastics. As to assembly, goodness it's bad enough cleaning up a metal figure let alone sticking bits of plaaastic together.šŸ˜‰

Plastics are easier for conversion.

The upside of plastics is the possible variety of poses, how easy it is to convert or adapt them, plus cost and weight advantages. šŸ¤”

I still have a slight preference for metal, and I'm exploring resin 3d prints as an alternative to plastic.

Iā€™m not convinced about 3D printing for big armies. The printing, cleaning and curing times are quite onerous. Iā€™d say the cleaning and curing is definitely more onerous than plastic assembly. And definitely more unpleasant.

Well, I printed out Bavarians in reasonable numbers. You can fit a lot on a single print run on a Mono X. But I agree about clean up. It can be messy. I still prefer it to scraping mould lines or filing down burrs and snipping off vent traces.

Some Little Big Men shield transfers for my Foundry Caesarian Romans. Though pattern choice and colour of reverse shield is driving me nuts and the more research I do the more contradictions I come up against.
