Partizan haul yesterday:-
For a mate
- five rows of trees from Last Valley (can't believe he still had stock left at 11:45 - most unusual for him)
- a bridge, some shell holes and their new 28mm ruins from Ironclad Miniatures
- some 3DP Reconquista figures (casualty types) from Irongate Scenery as markers for SAGA Normans
For me
- two packs of paints from Foundry (3 pots of 34A dark black and the Buff Leather triad)
- flight stand pegs and decals from Leon for Algernon
- some wee little magnets and "ferro" sheet offcuts from Coritani for Algernon
- a couple of nice books from Caliver, one AWI scenarios, t'other for Algernon
- two Russian 77mm guns from Empress for TTM&TB
- two very cheap brand new WW1 Ospreys from Dean who does the second-hand/painted figures stand for TTM&TB
- and two big boxes of 28mm WW1 British and Germans from a chap who wants to focus on Gallipoli, also for TTM&TB.

So WW1 for you huh.
Funny, just reading Castles of Steel about the British & German navies, fascinating, but I want to lynch Churchill.

2 boxes Perry Light Cavalry, 1450 - 1500, one box Great Escape Cowgirls, 1 griffon from Irongate, dastardly & Muttley from crooked dice and a small set of the AK weathering pencils to give them a try (and see if I can find art pencils cheaper if I like them).
All bought invisibly at partizan!
Oh and a very tasty ice cream (rum and raisin) from outside.

A modest haul from Partizan. Mostly C18th bits from Eureka and Foundry, some Trent Ottoman command, bits of Iron Gate Scenery, and a horse sprue to try out.

It was all bought with the proceeds of a sale. I'd have come out well in profit if I hadn't had to put petrol in the car to get home.
I could have bought more but I am focused and restrained now...

I wanted the Bruce Quarrie book on wargaming with tanks and it was cheaper to buy it in this bundle than individually. The only single copy would have been £10 with postage, whereas I got this bundle for £7.95 post free! I cant remember if I have the Fetherstone book, will soon find out if its in the shed? I definately have the F.E Perry book so its spare if anyone is interested?

Not a purchase as such, but it kind of feels like one!
After six years i've started to go through the final non essential boxes that we left in the garage (there's about 75+ of them). The last time I did 30 or 40 I filled a skip with stuff that really didn;t need to come.
This time I very aware that the rodents may well have moved into some boxes so open them expecting a small furry to leap out at me!
Having done half a dozen boxes yesterday the only wildlife I encountered was of the eight legged variety, including the biggest chap I 'd seen in years, if I could have caught him I reckon he was close to the UK size record!
Anyway in one of the boxes I found a very damp plastic box filled with around 3-400 hundred mainly 28mm figures. Mostly part of my unpainted Dark Ages stash I now have a hundred or so extra Vikings and a Norman army, i'd completely forgotten about, to get painted up. Also in a wonderful act of synchronicity I found a couple of packs of Arthurian/British cavalry just when i'd been looking at buying some to finish of a small Strathclyde Welsh force.
