I was wondering if there was any truth to Japan invading Queensland and them being told, you can have it.

If you come a bit further South, the anti-tank obstacles between Lake Macquarie and the Pacific are still there. Fort Scratchley in Newcastle of course fought a gunnery duel with a Japanese submarine. https://www.newcastle.nsw.gov.au/fort-s ... rt-history and https://www.battleforaustralia.asn.au/F ... tchley.php Knock out the fort, sink a couple of blockships in the harbour entrance and that takes out a large port, albeit one without major Naval facilities.

It's not too far fetched to have Japanese raiding forces landing at vulnerable sites along the North and East Coast, which was more likely than a full-fledged invasion IMHO.

Land a company here, company there, or even platoon sized incursions, and for very little resource, create mass panic, demands to bring troops home to defend Australia.. etc..

And buying, books, Duffy's Instrument of War, Zulu War Then and \Now, etc some 1/48 aircraft kits, and some WW2 STL files for resin printing. Oh yeah, more RUB, some colonial period Afghans, had to get some decals for my 28mm WW2 US Infantry from Warlord, so threw in some plastic Perry British Dragoons as well. And a battalion of Vistula Regiment Polish Napoleonics from Murawski.

If chaos in the region is the goal, also hit Auckland.

The distances are so big, hit and run is all in the raiders favour.

Nice to see a focused, planned, careful approach....

I have just ordered a Then & Now book oddly, but this is a ww2 one on special at NMP. It covers the temporary airfields built in normandy immediately after tye 8nvasion, good companion to the D Day set. Duffy I already have, same with aircraft!

Apparently I wont be getting my Carthaginian army. 2nd time North Star have offered big discounts and then rejected the order. Not impressed! Frustratingly they are the go to for Crusader which are my favourite figures. Though might go with Aventine at a later date. At least it will focus me on getting the Romans done.

It was probably a PayPal fault, thinking about it I have had orders that failed due to PP timing out.
Try it again maybe, best get in quick though because the offer ends today?
