Sorry for the confusion chaps, I played the game last week and was writing it up while the missus cooked. We had dinner at out daughter's and the turkey went in a thermal blanket...

Here in the antipodes we usually eat the turkey cold, much easier than thermal blanket.

When I first arrived in Aus, I found cold turkey, cold ham and salads a bit exotic, along with a Christmas trip to the beach. Now, I would find anything else bizarre.

We always used to do vichysoisse, prawns, glazed cold ham and turkey. 40 degree heat isn't really great for hot food.

We always had a Christmas braai with salads. The day was spent in the pool drinking beer.
Braaid gammon and chicken takes some beating. Braaid our Cornish hen this year
