Thanks for the answer, i'll await Donald passing by :)
Zvezda might be a bit too big to bother with then which might be both a curse and a blessing :( :)
But they are seriously nice.........think what you're missing.

Having been looking at the Zvesdas on plastic soldier review it looks like the Swedish cavalry would do for most nations and the Swedish And Russian artillery might also do for most armies. Like EB I'm not fussy, my paiting is too bad for it to matter. I'll more or less follow historical uniforms but there may be a fair bit of Imagineering going on.

Now, gloss or matt?

Mine are matt, as are Gary's and Andy's, and we all have some sort of textured bases. But you must do whatever you fancy - plain green or simple flocking.

Zvezda will give you a wonderful collection, but they may be a head above Strelets if you're thinking of mixing and matching. They'll be fine.

Spray your soft plastic figures once painted with Plastidip Clear Spray. This lays down a flexible rubberised coating on your figures which can bend and flex with no danger (or hope) of paint loss

Slipping a rubber sheath over your figures. What other applications come to mind for this product?

Someone seems to have ordered a few trial figures and some plastidip whilst I was sleeping.....I have no idea how that could possibly have happened :)

Just as well, because I can't find the stuff I was going to photograph for you. Good luck!

I found some good comparison photos to save you the hassle. I don't know how Zvezda compare to Lancer, they seem to match Minifigs S Range, which is somewhat alarming though!

I just visited EB's website, and noticed - to my horror and our collective shame - that, back in March, we missed the third anniversary of EB's grand opening of his garden-based wargames shed (which presumably now means that he has to take it in somewhere for an annual MoT).

And also the second anniversary of it being turned into a frozen lettuce storage facility.

What would be an appropriate form of celebration do we think?
