Been a long summer of, at times, relentless business travel and other professional obligations, but have finally managed to get moving on my various projects in the last couple of weeks.

One of these has been a collaboration of sorts with a mate who paints professionally, and while he is cranking out figures for a Montrose campaign on my behalf I've been doing the staging and scenics. We're starting with the forces for Tippermuir, and will likely add to those as we work on this further. First up is Tullibardine's foote -

I've had a few great sessions of gaming since my last post, some Saga (II) and Baron's War. Both of which have been good fun.

That particular Saga game caused me to get some Russians going for myself, as the figures shown in the second game above aren't mine!

Will be one group of horse archers, now underway.

One group of Druzhina heavies - using the Fireforge resin for these. Only one done so far.

And several groups of foot, about 24 figures in total for the time being. Mostly Fireforge here as well, though I bought some figures from Studio Siberia (second image) on a lark and they're quite good for the most part.

Finally feeling back in the groove after minimal painting time in July and August. So naturally, I'm back to my core project. The Baron's War. It's mostly just mounted knights until the next KS delivers. Which isn't too far off, so I'll be working through quite a few of these over the next couple of months. Here's a knight from Conquest, next to an in progress Marshall, for my money the two lines match vary well. And who doesn't need more knights...

Superb - I was only thinking last night that I hadn't seen a BW update from you

Will your Rus warlord be a Putin-type figure, sans shirt?

Excellent stuff - I know you didn't do them but I love the Civil War Scots, a nice big unit!!!

Cheers gentlemen - here's the next of my infrequent updates. Still very occupied with professional obligations. Continuing on with my medieval work. More Northern Crusades for the most part, though I did finish up a few DA Irish types for an old Saga build.

Irish - mostly Crusader and a handful of Footsore...

Poles and Livonian Order - 1st Corps. A bit different style than my go-to ranges, but have some nice qualities.

And then some basing experimentation, which has gotten me here so far.
