Salute 2018

As morning dawns, the peaceful little village of Biscotti and the chiesa del cuore sanguinante spaventato looming in the background

And then a bunch of hooligans turn up to disturb the peace:

I think this is unique in 30 years of doing demos, but one gentleman and his wife who were taking photos of the game very kindly offered to send them on to me. Given that they are much better and more atmospheric than mine, many thanks Alan and Elaine and here they are:

And a final shot from me as the Garibaldi’s succeed in reaching the Monastery, albeit with catastrophic losses and very dodgy morale!

Alan and Elaine were on hand to record a final shot of the distraught Baron Hardup being given the news that his men just move too slowly:

Note: A lot of the previous photos 'disappeared' last week following a problem with Post Image. That problem now seems to be resolved but means I've got to reload all the links :EB: I've done this on LAF but right now I need a drink to recover and will get round to updating this thread when I'm sober. :drunk:

I'm not surprised with all that "dad dancing" they were doing in the previous photo.

It was a splendid game and I was very tempted to get me some of those figures. You made a terrific job on the buildings, John.

GED at Gringo’s has just released some Piedmontese which I picked up, but have a look at the Irish Papal Guard Iain, a lovely little green and yellow costume (you couldn’t call it a uniform). He has plans to expand the range further and I fear my thoughts about limiting my Unification to ‘Sharp Practice’ in 28mm are now beginning to drift into ‘Fire & Fury’ territory. Which means it may end in ‘Grand Manner’!
