It's unfortunate that the greatest period of Scandinavian colonialism was (probably)in the C17th, which is what you were railing against doing, so it was a little odd as jokes go

I confess to having a fondness for Kirke's Lambs for many years, and an excuse to buy some more of the lovely Dixon figures is tempting.

Good on ya! They were the very first unit of Dixon "Grand Alliance" figures I painted back in the late 1980s. Sold them to Levied Troop at a Bovington weekend some years ago and I believe he used them in the historical Monmouth Rebellion skirmish game he put on at several shows (forget the name, but it was the skirmish with grenadiers and a roadblock).
