It's unfortunate that the greatest period of Scandinavian colonialism was (probably)in the C17th, which is what you were railing against doing, so it was a little odd as jokes go

Good on ya! They were the very first unit of Dixon "Grand Alliance" figures I painted back in the late 1980s. Sold them to Levied Troop at a Bovington weekend some years ago and I believe he used them in the historical Monmouth Rebellion skirmish game he put on at several shows (forget the name, but it was the skirmish with grenadiers and a roadblock).
