I'm happy to try the Lodge even if I'm not staying there.

With the lodge looking like the mostly preferred option would it be wise to firm it up with the management before we totally abandon the hall option?
Although I am so tempted to change my vote, just so I can feel justified in complaining if the Lodge isn't "right" :D :D

A good point well made.

I think the Lodge has the nod.

I'll speak to the management on Tuesday and get something in writing/email.

I have email confirmation that we have the area of the restaurant we used before (the part which can be closed off) between 10:30 and 19:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We must put the tables back for dining each night (it takes five minutes). We can store stuff out of sight in the room overnight (the hotel will supply tablecloths or similar for that purpose).

We can also use the front 'nook' bar but, as already mentioned, the lighting is not great.

There is no cost, although I shall be repaying the hotel's good will by eating there Thursday to Saturday.

In view of the voting, I'm suggesting to Peeler that we cancel the hall booking.......so this is the final, final chance to object.

Thanks Iain, that all sounds good.

I'll also eat at the lodge because...well why not! I'll try not to disturb and vegan tete a tete you may engage in!

Are we sure we've got sunday...as the lodge does sunday lunches?
