In my world of Napoleonics, only Bavarians trump the Black Brunswickers (in 1809, Peninsula or Waterloo format).

Loving the Hungarian bling merchant.. luck for you he's wearing campaign overalls, so no pants knots, piping and braiding. That would really have taxed the paint supplies.

I remember showing up to play with my Napoleonic Austrians with a group of kids when we were all about 13, and them being scornful of my painting because I'd just used any colour.. green shako, red pants, blue pelisse etc. All spot on historically!

Yeah, it's constant source of frustration that Tony Barton usually likes to model them in 'field' dress (pelisse worn as a jacket, overalls, etc; a sort of middle ground 'working' dress between full dress and campaign dress), as that means that I can't go full retard with dolmans, breeches and other gaudiness...

I was tempted to invent a uniform for the unknown Primatial Hussars (a confection of 'Archbishop Purple' to reflect their ecclesiastical sponsor was my first thought), but managed to restrain myself and in the end just did a random Insurrection Hussar regiment.

You can see the full dress uniform for a Hungarian general in the top picture on my blog article here. It's pretty spectacular. Note that they also had a fur busby for some orders of parade dress: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2020/03/13/ ... ery-staff/

Another 13x 10mm Union infantry done today for 26 points. That brings my total to 982 [corrected] points:

You can't help but love an army that has more than one order of parade dress!
