Pardon me higgorance, but are an S-boat and an E-boat the same thing?
Found it on Google by pure chance.

Yes - 'E boat' is the British term, with the E simply standing for Enemy. S Boat is for Schnell boat, the German term, simply fast boat. There were a lot of other German coastal craft that weren't S-boaten, which the British also faced off against.

The terminology can get very confusing. The various Fairmile models (A-D) for example, were variously called Motor Launches (ML), Motor Gun Boats (MGB), Motor Torpedo Boats(MTB), MGB/MTB, Harbour Defence ML (HDML) & even Air Sea Rescue boats (ASR), depending upon role and fitout.

And the wheels on the bus go round and round.

It's so pretty I may just remove the decals or say that EYMS have received it from the Coventry Co-operative.

Good link, thanks - bookmarked. Might be tempted by some Oz v Jap action in the Pacific at some point.

Went the Day Well and the Concise Sourcebook for VBCW Ayton 2019.
The rules look simple and fun, and should suit the weekend very well - good choice GM

I did contemplate it briefly. Then I realised that I'd have to drill off the rivets holding the bodywork onto the chassis. Maybe I will, if everything for Ayton is painted, based & varnished by mid April.
