Do we need a LAW diary for 2018?

Post by garyp »

The thought occurs to me that with ShedCon and Ayton already booked and a number of other get-togethers mooted, is it worth a bit of joined-up thinking to ensure we have nice steady flow of games next year?
The possibilities that I know of are:
Framingham?
W2D's Sharp Practice game
Purps' magnificent megagame sequel
The other ShedCon in Diss.

I don't know how many of these are likely, but I've been thinking about dates for another game at my place and it would be good if they weren't organised like a bus timetable.
Any thoughts?
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.

Good idea Gary. What we need is some of Andy's magic to see if there's a diary widget available on this here forum...

Excellent idea, Gary.

I happen to know that Andy has found his table that was lost and is now in a very happy mood. Strike while the iron is hot.

Might be a good idea to also put on the major shows (eg Salute, Partizan, FIASCO, etc) so that these can be avoided when organising our own events.

Do we actually need a calendar as such or just a sticky with all the dates in by month?

Are we not in danger of reinventing the wheel? If people use the 'Loose Wargames' section and a sticky with dates when a game is confirmed...wouldn't that work? Even better if it could be sorted by date, earliest first.
