Prussiand Hussar horses
In the SYW. Were they a mix of horse colours or were they grouped where possible?

What worries me is so does Purps...
Re: Prussiand Hussar horses
Good link, thanks.
Re: Prussiand Hussar horses
Where in that link are the hussar horse colours? I can't find 'em.
Duffy says that Hussars had 'Polish' (i.e. mixed colour, including piebald etc) horses. Essentially last dibs after the Cuirassiers and Dragoons had their pick.

Re: Prussiand Hussar horses
Surely, the cuirassiers and dragoons would be picking big horses, maybe Polish refers to smaller ones.
Re: Prussiand Hussar horses
The cuirassiers went for blacks and dark bays, the dragoons lighter bays and chestnuts and then the hussars had the 'Polish' horses, which seems to have been everything else including the pony club. According to Duffy, anyway.

Re: Prussiand Hussar horses
That meets the COTOTS definition, the lighter the horse, the lighter the horse.
