Up the Nile! First Beja Unit Complete! Yay!
I found a little time to take some pics of the first unit of 36 Beja.
Just got to add a shield and a spear to the base with the casualty on and that's the first unit finished. I already have the first 12 completed, varnished and based so things are progressing nicely.
If you want to see larger pictures, please pop over to my blog where the pictures can be enlarged to their full size:

Cheers

Very impressive! Are they all going to be based in threes and is this for Up The Nile ruleset?

Thanks people- appreciated as ever.
I just read through the rules once and thought "wow!". These are for me. Simple yet very evocative of the Anglo Mahdist War in the Sudan. I prefer the emphasis being put ion friction and attrition rather than just removing casualties so the rules were right up my street.
Yeah, all they are all being based for Up the Nile as I get them painted.MarshalNey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 9:28 am Very impressive! Are they all going to be based in threes and is this for Up The Nile ruleset?

I hate removing figures, spoils the effect of the unit and even on my very worst day as a commander I dont think I 'd get my entire army wiped out. Thats why I liked Grande Armee by Sam Mustafa - you had to have rosters or some way of keeping track of strengths.

I've never played Grande Armee. In fact the last time I played Naps it was a hybrid between WRG and Black Powder..... best you don't ask as I don't think I could begin to explain it to youMarshalNey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:55 am I hate removing figures, spoils the effect of the unit and even on my very worst day as a commander I dont think I 'd get my entire army wiped out. Looking forward to your remake of "The Four Feathers".
