The Loose Association of Wargamers

English Civil War artillery isn't the most effective battlefield weapon. I began with 2 sakers (medium artillery) when I started my Covenanter army. Pretty useless. I added one more. Marginally useless. I've now added a fourth (& last: 4 is the BG maximum).









I have no great hopes for this battery. It fires slowly & inaccurately (in line with historical precedent). It moves slowly & once unlimbered, does not move again during the battle. .......but it looks good! And for me, that is what my "easy beat" Covenanter army is all about.

Nice. I have always had a soft spot for the Covenanter armies. They were much better troops than usually given credit for, when properly led.
