My public library in my teens had a book which listed every squadron in the RAF/RFC with its deployment dates, aircraft types and function from 1914-1974. That woud give you the answer.

Not a clue, but it'll probably be something boring like a training or target-tugging squadron. There were target-tug units around here that had as many as 20 different types during WW2.

Tugging squadron - long overseas deployment to a backwater.

It's likely to be one of the longer established squadrons, so pre-war regular or RAFVR squadrons, who'd initially have had the mix of prewar and early war types, then running through the various wartime upgrades and new designs as they came through.

A couple of other possibilities are in the FAA squadrons, who used many different types, sometimes at the same time, with detachments all over the place. The 'special duties' squadrons often had multiple aircraft types at the same time, eg 138 Squadron which had variously Lysanders, Whitleys, Halifaxes, Stirlings and Lancasters.

I believe they were famed for short, wildly innacurate bursts that went everywhere

If you're bored you could trawl through this site and count them.
