Vappa 2021 - the final game. Bolt Action scenario of small groups of BEF racing to Dunkirk through a French village. Helped by a few brave French and hindered by Germans, including a Panzer and a Stuka attack.
Michelle played the BEF with a win being 1/3rd or more of her men on the road to the beach (off table at the far end) to win. She played her characters brilliantly. Her senior officer threw himself against heavy fire to point the right road to the beach, falling gallently in the action. Her mortar crew caused a fair bit of disruption before being straffed by a stuka, loosing 2 of the crew. One rifle squad shot down an opposing German force and figured out they could steal their opel blitz truck, the remaining mortar man jumped in too and riding roughshod over the fields for a while being chased by some late to the party fallshirmjager and a bewildered panzer crew and a lone disgruntled German officer, they finally made it out just behind two brave riflemen who had just before hand ran off down the road, persued by the German officer, luger blazing after them.
Great game and well played!
Despite Vappa being cancelled its been a great weekend meeting the chaps from our usual gatherings on a zoom pub meet, did a spot of painting and prep of some new figures and got plenty of goodies out of their boxes for a bit of fresh air. Thanks all!

Fun looking game. VVap has been a good experiment and given my mojo a bit of a tweak too.

Good looking game and an exciting report!
There is something about the 1940 campaign that makes it very interesting to play, it’s certainly taking over my painting desk at present.

I get lockdown, but I get up again.
