Will Major, Goat still be running his 18th Century D&D game as a sideline?

Good, I was looking forward to that one.

Yes next year will be 28mm (or probably 25 - 30mm) so you should be able to add to the lead mountain on the table !
Sounds like a plan, funnily enough I quite fancy painting some Seven Years War figs, haven't done any for quite a while, I'm a bit short of Heavies.

As an aside, should I be able to make it, what size are the units for this game, so even if I do not have an army I can have painted some tricorns ready?
Aim for a frontage of about seven or eight inches for close order foot. A little bigger or a little smaller makes no difference. Include enough figures to make it look like it's a close order unit - so two ranks would be best.

Cavalry have roughly the same frontage as foot (regardless of type). Make them look close order if they're dragoons or heavies - lighter cavalry can be opened out a bit if you want, but that's not important. Whether you have two ranks of troopers in a unit or just one is up to you.

One gun model is a battery (at the moment it is at least).

Ideally, you would have three units and a battery brigaded together with a mounted brigade commander, but I'm sure you'll be able to borrow extra troops to make up a brigade.

Hope that helps.

Just had a quick measure up and my foot units are near as makes no difference 9 inch frontage 30 figures in 2 ranks. My cavalry are squadrons of 9 figures in single rank on roughly 7 inch frontage, acceptable or do I need to tweak anything ?

Nah, should be fine. Most people have roughly 15-20mm frontage per figure and units sizes from 24 - 36 men, so yours should fit in nicely.

No need to rush out and re-base.....unless you're EB 😁

For gods sake, don’t ask EB a question like that. He’ll have you rebasing your entire army to his mad standards!

So close order could be 30-48 figures, A brigade seems doable.
