Atheling's Early Byzantines Army- Units So Far- UPDATED 09/03/21

What with all the beautiful Aventine Miniatures Early Byzantine armies being posted and my lack of space to take large group shots whilst Covid is still causing mayhem I thought I'd post up a couple of pics of each unit I have completed thus far:

A unit of Unarmoured Skutatoi in the varnishing queue and another Unarmoured Skutatoi unit in the process of being painted up.

That's bloody nice that lot. As usual, I am just going to have to view them as 'aspirational' results rather than 'achievable'

Way too pretty to fight with: I'd have them behind glass in a museum display case.

I'll now contradict myself & say how much I'm looking forward to battle photos when you complete this army & the no doubt equally splendid enemy army.

There is such a game planned at one of the UK's premiere shows. We will obviously have to see how things go but it's on the cards

Superbly painted units that are so crisp and pop out that they are inspirational
My only criticism is that there aren't enough of them
So C'mon, get your brushes out and knock off a few more
