Valleyboy's Oldhammer

Post by valleyboy »

Bloody Jeremy
Look what he's made me do by posting pictures of his lovely bloody dwarves
Doesn't he know that I've got enough projects on the go already?
Why in the middle of painting Russian Napoleonic Cavalry did he make me go up into the loft and dig out those old GW dwarves that I painted in the 90s? That's not very considerate is it?

If that's not bad enough, now he's only gone and made me order some more Dwarves from Blacktree Designs to make them into 12 figure units
Who needs mates like this eh?
I'm going to have to give these a wash and tart up the bases now

What a great army ! You’re right, a little bit of base tarting and they are going to be awesome. Now you need to buy a goblin army as well though....

Very colourful! Orks, that's what you need now though...
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Oh those are gorgeous! I’m well jealous! That is an absolutely fantastic collection! Huge nostalgia in those pics. Still some of the best sculpts ever done, even by today’s standards.

Those photos remind me of a Mike's Models ECW army that I painted for a friend back in the 80s!

I painted a load Of Mike's Model Libyan Spearmen once - the buggers were all left handed!

Thanks but the best thing is that I've found an Ungrim Ironfist amongst them :vdrunk:
Needs a repaint though

The Dixon 15mm "Marlburian" Swedish pike are all cackies, too. Main reason I never used their stuff for a GNW army. Shame, given how nice all the rest of their Swedish figures were.

I'd say he has presented you with a golden opportunity to rip 'em off those god awful "slotta" bases and do them properly as only you can. That's what I think.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
