Hmmm storage/display idea

As some of you may know I have due to circumstances beyond my control the ability to make a few changes to my home.

One of them is display of painted figures, so I looked for units and cabinets and nowhere could I find ones that fitted what I wanted, or would not fit the space they needed to go into.

Then I came across these....

Modular, deep, tall enough for pikemen, taller ones available for big stuff, is this mad or inspired?

My wife has something similar for her shoes. They're sturdy enough, but more for storage than display.

I'm sure Ikea did a nice tall dispay cabinet with little lights in. Be really careful that its all secure. A mate of mine had something similar and some shelves collapsed wiping out some of his beautifully painted AWI plastics.

I'm in the process of hiding anything interesting. Michelle just had her collectors pieces from her Final Fantasy game collection fully mauled and ruined by little feet and hands... and mouth.

They do, the Billy Bookcase. I bought one recently for mine. If you go for the version with doors, you need to attach it to the wall or it falls over.

Tall is no good, I need wide but low.

The boxes looked like you could see in nicely, is that not so.

Oh you can see into them well enough, However being plastic they scratch & scuff up fairly easily & the ones we have do have internal stiffening ribs & the like. They're around the size and shape of a shoebox. As I said, for me they're more for storage than display. However YMMV.

Ah, so that's why it's known as "The Peeler".

I think this display cabinet is what Tim was referring to, the Billy is just a Bookcase to which you can add a variety of doors.

...anyway too tall for FBs needs I think?

It is, the half high version doesn't have clear doors available sadly.

Saw this and wondered if it might be useful?
