Modelling Snow

Well I've started painting the WW2 Norwegians Tim so kindly sent me which raises a problem...

How does one model snow on a figure base?

Any tips?

Some sort of yellow will also be needed :D

If you want something semi-permanent and cheap, but realistic; then use bicarbonate of soda, held down by hairspray. It also doesn't go yellow over time. If you don't like the look then it washes off. In the 'bits box' is an old 1/35th T34 done that way 40 years ago which still carries 'snow' .

Now I feel old.....

I have tried the snow from Warlord games but didnt really like the look. If I did winter Russians again I'd go for the bicarb I think.

Hmmm, somewhat confusing because there was I thinking that the "Bicarb of Soda" was some sort of evil despot :moredrink:
