Hessian headgear, a question.

I'm going to do a Hessian brigade for Ayton. As the Warlord box includes headgear for musketeers, fusiliers and grenadiers it would be churlish not to do a unit of each.
Did the officers of fusiliers and grenadiers wear tricorns or mitres?

Yep, grenadier and fusilier officers wore tricornes. Historically, it was rare for all three types to appear in the same brigade, other than by units accumulating in a garrison somewhere. However, you could get away with it if you make the "grenadiers" the Land Miliz Regiment Rall, in which all companies wore the grenadier mitre; the regiment had no lapels.

As it's for Ayton and will fight anything up to and including elephants I won't sweat on the odd anomaly but I wanted to get the hats right.

I am totally ok with facing pigs, aflame or otherwise. We shall simply treat them as a delivery of bratwurst.
