The Loose Association of Wargamers

After much cursing, eye-strain and running out of red paint, I've finally finished Napoleon's 'Sailors of the Guard' (Marins de la Garde). And mightily pleased I am.





*Traditional motto of the French Navy: "To the water, it is the hour!"

I thought it meant hello what's the time. They are beautiful. You don't want to paint my Hinton Hunt 20mm ones do you...

The bit about the motto might not necessarily be true...

I loosely translated is as 'Cometh the hour, cometh the water'. Mind you my schoolboy Frencb is nowhere near as good as those liitle chaps. Great job!

Say it out loud and all will become clear...
