Thanks! It certainly was a fun game and a proper nail-biter. The Prussians have the quality and the leadership, but the Empire has the numbers.
Thanks Ilkley!Ilkley Old School wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 9:01 pm That is what a SYW game should look like. I also like the single based units.
Cheers mate! Apologies for sneaking some Bavarians on to table, in lieu of the Kurmainz Regt - I've not painted any Mainz troops yet, though Kurmainz and Mainz-Lamberg are high on my 'to do' list. I also used Baden-Durlach and Kurtrier for the 1st & 2nd Battalions of the Ernestisches-Sachsen Regt. The Prussians are a right bunch of stand-ins; the only units I actually have in my collection that matches this orbat are the Willemy Grenadiers, the Hoffmann Fusiliers and two of the hussar squadrons!Spanner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 11:05 pm Looking forward to the replay of the battle, mate. I like the look of Reichsarmee set up- it's a nice change from the usual suspects and, as Ilkey said, it's got that "look" about it.
I'll have the Leibfahne and FWR pattern Kompagniefahne for Plettenburg off to Kronoskaf and David at NBA some time this weekend*, if you're after them.
*or perhaps next weekend, if I can't dig out my references.
Oh no indeed, I thought I'd mention it, as all the other regiments are actually the correct ones.
