The Cataphract Club

....be a good name for some trendy, down-town rave.

However, I'm referring specifically to the heavily armoured cavalry of the Late Roman empire.
I'm painting some Tumbling Dice figures and the commander carries a shafted-weapon with a probably heavy knob on the end. Without wanting to be too technical, I'd call it a 'club'.

I've looked through the net but can't quite make out what said 'club' was made of......wooden haft & iron knob?
Any correction to that assumption?

It's probably the Mace that the Cataphracts and other cavalry used at the time. The ridges or spikes on some of them were meant to help combat armour. They varied a lot in size!
Generally metal heads with wooden hafts.

They declined to cut out my cataphract. I am COVID positive but still asymptomatic 4 days later.
