12th Prussian Grenadiers Spencer Smith figures.

Post by Willz the Wargamer »

Finished this unit of 12th Prussian Grenadiers using Spencer Smith figures.
I bought these last week pre painted all I did was brighten up the paint and done some shading.
Added a flag by David at "Not by Appointment" and a command group, a days work job done.

Thanks RMD, when they are painted to a good standard when you buy them it makes painting easier and quicker.

Missed these before, Willz. The 12ths an old favourite- I did their Leibfahne bearer in 90mm. What paint did you use for the straw small clothes? I've never found one that was "it" for that colour.

I need stronger glasses! I read that as 12th panzer grenadiers, then I thought "I didn't know that SS did WW2 figures..."

The pointy hats are why the Sdkfz 251 was open-topped.

Sorry I have not got back to you for a while, the motherboard on my 2 year old computer died on Wednesday :x .
It was irreparable, managed to recover all my data :) . So I am using my 8/9 year old dell laptop a bit clunky but it does the job.
A big thanks to Mark for sorting out the password for me to to re log in :) :)

The paint I used for the small clothes was golden yellow, mixed with yellow ochre as a base colour and sand and white mixed with the base colour to lighten.
Cheers for all your kind comments.

No need to apologise, mate, life happens. I'm glad you saved your data. Thanks for the tips on the colours for straw. I'll give it a go when I get to doing KR Zepelin.
