Napoleon's Imperial Guard

This army contains some of my oldest figures but with my recent clearing out & re-basing, I substantially re-organised & then added to the force. The final figures have just been completed.

Image

The army has 14 battalions of infantry, 4 cavalry regiments & 4 batteries of artillery + sundry command & other figures. An all-arms force useful for stand alone games.

Two brigades of Old Guard, including the 'oldest of the old' 1st Grenadiers & first Chasseurs.

A fot artillery battery in front of a brigade of Middle Guard.

Marshall Mortier, the commander, watched over by Napoleon himself.

The Young Guard (aks 'cannon fodder')

Image
A brigade of Guard cavalry Dragoons & Grenadiers

Image
Napoleon loved artillery - Horse artillery

Image
More cavalry- a brigade of Lancers & chasseurs

I aim to use these figures soon in a series of 1813-1814 games

Excellent stuff! However, I tend to find that there is rarely a 'final' unit of Guard... And then there are all the hangers-on: Gardes d'Honneur, Eclaireurs, Polish, Saxon, Westphalian and Italian Guards, Neapolitan Guard Horse Artillery, Berg Horse Artillery, Berg Lancers, Velites of Florence and Turin... There's always room for one more ;)

Nope. I'm done.
I have two line corps of Nap. French (12 & 13 infantry batts etc) if I want a bigger game but this size of Imperial Guard, alone, will provide an afternoon's enjoyable gaming.

Awesome.

I think I may have mentioned that I really want a 1/72 plastic army.

(has anyone got any Dark Alliance or Caesar Goblins or Orcs they don't want.........Peeler)?

I don't know which is more impressive, Donald - the collecting/converting/painting, or the fact that you've found someone who is actually prepared to play against a "Guard army" on the tabletop!

(And yes, I did notice you were focussed on the 1813-14 campaigns when the Guard was pretty much all Boney had.)
