Kumbahyah 2024

Post by tim.w »

Gents/Despots,

President N'Dahwehlahweh has heard your cries for peace and freedom and now we can plan for a bloodless return to a democratic Kumbahyah.

What scale would you all like? I have been thinking of further scaling down to 1/72 to give us a cheaper and more flexible alternative. 10mm also has some suitable ranges for Israeli/Arab wars that can be used. We could also scale up to 1/32 (the origional game) Tim and I have plenty of painted and unpainted figures still. Vehicles are more of an issue though. Or do we want to stick to 28mm?

I have a plan for a new force in 28mm if we stick to the scale but I need a fair amount of painting time so keen to pin down scale and scope soon.

If that President N'Dahwehlahweh bloke was my character then the only reason I'm coming back is to reclaim my share of the country's gold reserves which I had agreed (though not in writing, so don't waste your time looking for a paper trail) with my successor, and which was cruelly taken from me by a, literally, last gasp shot at the engine pulling the train on which said gold was being transported. Just so we're all clear on that.....

I am hoping that I might be able to drop in for half a day of this?
I would say stick to 28mm

The big question though is after getting "grenaded" apparently to death and then nursed back to health in a Rhoadie hospital....is the General actually the same man or has he been replaced "soap opera style" with a completely new "Actor"?

or Leonid Brezhnev style

How many figures would I need to paint up?

If we’re doing 28mm none if you don’t want to. I’ve got three suitable forces and I’m sure the Tim’s have a multitude 😃

If it’s going to be another scale we’ll wait for Mr W ‘s direction!

I have no idea about the sides and setup. Always fancied the role of a tin-pot dictator.

I think Norm has that nailed down :D
If Tim decides to go 28mm i'll give you a couple of options (Probably Bishop N'duna and his Altar boys or the "evil" colonial Escudans)
